Legal Counsel (NQ+)

My client, a market-leading food manufacturer, is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their specialist team; in their Northampton office on a hybrid basis.

In a position of rapid growth, the legal team present an excellent in-house opportunity for a Legal Counsel to assist the team on national, EU and international trade mark matters, and a range of B2B and B2C commercial contracts work.

About the role

The successful Legal Counsel will provide services centrally focused on:

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of legal documents (e.g. NDAs, letters of variation, extensions, procurement contracts, sales contracts, distribution agreements, terms and conditions of sale and purchase etc.)

- Managing trade mark clearance searches on an international scale;

- Supporting the implementation and ongoing compliance function, advising on Competition, Anti-Bribery, Sanctions and Data Protection laws.

About you

The ideal Legal Counsel will be a U.K qualified lawyer with a minimum of six months post qualification experience in private practice, or in-house. You will have a proven track record of providing astute and articulate commercial advice to clients, and negotiating commercial contracts autonomously. You will also be able to commute to their Northampton base on a hybrid basis.
