Responsibilities:
- Provides legal counsel and guidance to the Group on all legal matters including personnel law, policies, procedures, rules and regulations, transactions, contracts tax matters, new investment product set up etc
- Oversee the development of the Group’s legal compliance strategy and ensure that it complies with industry rules and regulations, as well as internal policies and guidelines
- Advise on legal and regulatory compliance requirements, and optimize the group legal structure
- Support investment team in maintaining an effective compliance, control system and well as legal due diligence
- Establish good relationships with regulatory agencies, legal & audit agencies, and act as communication channels
- Manage legal affairs, supervise the legal functions of Group and provide legal advice and consulting services to the management and various departments in a timely manner
- Manage and maintain a central contracts database for all Group contractual commitments
- Establish good relationships with regulatory agencies, legal & audit agencies, head office and counterpart departments of domestic branches, and act as communication channels.
- Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization
Requirement :
- Common law qualified lawyer with 10+ years' PQE.
- Must be eligible to work in UK
- In-house experience with leadership experience is highly preferred
- Can-do attitude, hands-on. A good team player
- Good command of both written and spoken English. Able to read and speak in Chinese is preferred
- Comfortable with different time zone working environment and willing to travel abroad when needed
- Be able to work under pressure with tight timeline or multi-task when needed
- Must be eligible to work in UK
