Legal Counsel - Robert Walters : Job Details

Our client, a growing AdTech business, is looking to secure a Legal Counsel to join their collaborative and high-performing legal team. The business is at the forefront of influencing brand advertising with the use of AI and cutting-edge technology.

As Legal Counsel, you will provide support and advice on a wide range of legal, commercial, and corporate activities, with a particular focus on commercial contracts and data privacy. You will be responsible for managing your own matters and driving them to completion.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, key responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts relating to digital advertising such as NDAs, customer contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Supporting matters relating to Data Protection/Privacy, Advertising, Trade Marks/Patents, and Employment.
• Drafting and updating contract templates and other legal documents.
• Establishing and embedding policies, and cultivating a scalable risk/value-based approach.
• Working closely with a range of departments across the business to provide strategic and commercially-focused advice.
• Assisting in preparing and providing presentations, policies, and training materials.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• 2-3 PQE solicitor, qualified in the UK or another commonwealth jurisdiction (however all candidates will be considered on merit).
• Commercial law experience from a leading law firm with relevant in-house experience.
• Strong negotiation and technical drafting abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Previous experience with AdTech or Advertising, and data protection matters will be highly regarded.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
• Be commercially aware and have the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced evolving business sector.
• A team-player with a positive attitude towards your work, and an enthusiasm for technology and innovation.
