Job Description :

KCR Solutions are assisting our client in their search for a Legal Cashier. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounts preferably in a Legal Practice. You will have proven interpersonal skills, strong organisational and planning skills and also good written and oral communication skills. It is important you also have general knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

As an individual you will have a friendly personality, be a team player, have a polite manner with an interest in legal financial matters. You will also be able to work under pressure whilst maintaining deadlines and have a willingness to develop.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Effectively and efficiently deal with all accounts matters for which the post holder has responsibility.
  • Ensure financial transactions are dealt with appropriately and within the required timescales
  • Ensure all bills have been calculated correctly prior to processing within the system.
  • Ensure all payments (CHAPS, BACS, Cheques and Cash) have funds in the appropriate account prior to processing within the system.
  • Liaise with departments regarding the payment of disbursements, bills, bad debts etc.
  • Comply with all routine procedures for authorising and payment of the Firms overheads and expenditure.
  • Control petty cash expenditure including travel expenses.
  • Control general nominal ledger work and reports, during Head of Accounts absence.
  • Administer Legal Aid payments and returns, during Head of Accounts absence.
  • Calculate Bank interest as requested by Fee Earners, and process any payments, during Head of Accounts absence.
  • Monitoring outstanding cheques.
  • Assist the Head of Accounts with the administration of Credit Control.
  • Attend and participate in all meetings as and when required.
  • Liaise with departmental staff to ensure workload and the balance of priorities, can be maintained within the team, thereby maximising output.

THE ROLE WILL BE OFFICE BASED

Salary : 24000 - 27000
