Legal Cashier - Career Legal : Job Details

We are looking for an enthusiastic Legal Cashier to join a London based commercial law firm. The successful candidate will ideally have some legal cashiering experience and have worked within a law firm.

From its offices in the City of London, the firm works across the UK and internationally and has links with law firms in over 100 cities around the world, enhancing its capability to handle global and cross-border transactions.

Responsibilities:

• Handling all the aspects of banking
• Communicating updates regarding daily balances
• Dealing with Client and Office bank reconciliations
• Ensuring compliance with VAT rules and SARs
• Posting of office and client cheques
• Assorting petty cash and posting cash slips when required
• Posting HMLR/HMCS/Companies House Statements
• Ordering foreign currencies
• Performing cost of funding and interest calculations
• Ad-hoc tasks as and when required

Candidate Profile

• Three years’ experience as a legal cashier
• Knowledge of VAT and SARs
• Knowledge of Accounts Packages
• Microsoft Office proficient
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Confident in their own abilities
