An exciting opportunity has arisen for a meticulous and experienced Legal Cashier to join a reputable law firm. As a key member of the finance team, you will handle all monetary transactions and ensure compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules. Day to day of the role:

• Manage client and office accounts, processing all financial transactions including receipts, payments, and transfers.
• Ensure strict compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations for client and office accounts.
• Process client billing and assist with credit control activities.
• Handle queries from clients, solicitors, and staff regarding financial matters.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other financial reports as required.
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting and audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

Required skills & qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar role within a legal environment.
• Strong understanding of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules.
• Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with legal accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
