Working Hours: Full time: 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, Part time: 17.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

About the role:

To deliver English qualifications to 16-19 year old learners alongside their vocational studies at our Highbury campus. In addition to delivering to 19+ adult learners who wish to improve their English skills and gain recognised qualifications. Students will study across a range of courses which include; Functional Skills Entry, Level 1 to Level 2 as well as GCSE.

Key Responsibilities:

• To teach on a range of programmes, providing high quality learning opportunities that meet the needs of individual students/apprentices and groups in line with the College’s strategic priorities and objectives.
• To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student/apprentice retention, achievement and success.
• To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum and programmes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include:

o Actively contributing to the development of new programmes within the curriculum area

o Producing annual schemes of work and/or training plans for all subjects/programmes to be taught

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
• Teaching Qualification in a relevant subject (QTS/QTLS)
• Ability to meet targets within set timescales
• Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
