Join Our Client as a Lease Accounting Manager.

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for a new challenge? Our client, a leading organisation in real estate, is seeking a dynamic Lease Accounting Manager to join their team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your skills and make a significant impact.

Position Overview:As the Lease Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in the production of month-end accounts and journals. You'll be responsible for driving IFRS16 reporting across multiple clients, managing deliverables, and assisting in the development of processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce accurate month-end reporting for clients in agreed formats.
• Manage the monthly deliverables timetable to ensure timely submissions.
• Drive IFRS16 reporting and assist with budgeting/forecasting requirements.
• Automate routine tasks to promote efficiency and effective working practices.
• Review and attest month-end reports prior to submission to clients.
• Oversee VAT reporting and non-resident landlord monitoring.
• Assist with annual SOC audit and review monthly governance packs.
• Collaborate with the Head of GOS on ad-hoc requirements.

What We're Looking For:

• Qualifications:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Knowledge/experience of IFRS16 in previous roles.
  • Familiarity with basic property accounting concepts.

• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivots and advanced formulae).

• Personal Qualities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence to interact with surveyors, clients, and third parties.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with a keen emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • A process-driven mindset, valuing effective controls.
  • Passion for developing your own knowledge and skills.
