Learning Support Assistant – Post-16 SEN ProvisionSheffield | Full-Time | September StartWe are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a well-established post-16 specialist education and training centre in Sheffield. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SEN who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young adults.About the Role:You will be working within a supportive and experienced team, providing 1:1 and small group support to learners aged 16–25 with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. The setting offers vocational and life skills training to help young people progress toward greater independence, further education, or employment.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to learners with a variety of SEN and EHCPs
• Promote student engagement, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
• Support learners in both classroom-based and practical/vocational sessions
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and external professionals
• Monitor and report on learner progress and contribute to planning support strategies

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people with SEN (Essential)
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential
• A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
