Learning Support Assistant (KS3 focus) - Secondary School - IslingtonStart date: September 2025Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-termLocation: IslingtonPay: £90-£105 per day

Do you enjoy supporting young people and helping them overcome learning challenges?This Islington-based secondary school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work primarily with students in Years 7-9, helping them make a successful transition to secondary school.

About the role:

• Providing general classroom and individual support across subjects in KS3
• Helping students develop organisation, literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Building strong, positive relationships with students who need additional guidance
• Monitoring progress and reporting on student development to SEN and pastoral leads
• Supporting the emotional wellbeing of students and encouraging resilience

About you:

• Experience supporting students aged 11-14 is highly desirable
• Calm, positive and encouraging approach to learning
• Able to work flexibly and adapt support to different student needs
• Comfortable liaising with teachers, families and external professionals
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
