Learning Support Assistant - SEN Support - Haringey

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Haringey to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with special educational needs (SEN) across KS3 and KS4.The school has a strong reputation for its SEN provision and prides itself on fostering an environment where all students feel supported, valued, and able to achieve.

Key Responsibilities:* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties* Support classroom learning, helping students access lesson content and remain engaged* Work closely with the SENCo, teaching staff and external agencies to implement EHCP targets* Use visual aids, scaffolding strategies and behaviour techniques to support student progress* Contribute to reviews, planning meetings and regular tracking of student outcomes

Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Experience supporting secondary-age students with additional needs* A calm, patient and consistent approach* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students* Knowledge of SEN strategies and a willingness to develop skills through training* A background in education, care, youth work or support services is highly desirable
