If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant at a welcoming primary school in South Liverpool.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to pupils who require additional assistance with their learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with specific learning needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assisting pupils with their academic work, helping them to access the curriculum and make progress in their learning.
  • Implementing individualised learning plans and strategies to support the development of key skills.
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as required.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all pupils feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in childcare, education, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
