Learning & Development Business Partner (12-Month Maternity Cover)
About the Role
A leading supplier to the Entertainment industry is seeking a passionate and experienced Learning & Development Business Partner to join the team on a 12-month maternity contract. This is a pivotal role in shaping and driving our learning strategy, with a strong focus on developing our Learning Management System (LMS), managing early careers programmes, and supporting the growth of our next-generation talent.
You’ll be part of a collaborative People & Culture team, supporting line managers, employees, and placement students while helping us build a culture of continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Build strong partnerships with managers to understand learning needs across the business.
- Lead the day-to-day administration, reporting, and optimisation of our LMS platform, supporting the development of staff competencies.
- Provide support to managers and employees with personal development planning.
- Partner with stakeholders to design and deliver effective learning solutions.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and development of early careers placements (3–12 month schemes).
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new starters, continuously improving the experience.
- Organise internal and external training logistics and liaise with third-party providers.
- Produce regular L&D reports and insights for senior managers.
- Contribute to People & Culture team initiatives, supporting wider HR projects where needed.
About You
- Proven experience in an L&D Business Partner or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of LMS platforms (e.g., Cornerstone, SuccessFactors).
- Experience managing early careers/graduate/apprenticeship programmes.
- Skilled in onboarding and induction processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse data and provide actionable insights.
- Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (creating and maintaining trackers).
Desirable:
- CIPD qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience in business partnering within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship frameworks or graduate recruitment processes.
