Job DescriptionLearning and Development Manager – Sales and Management TrainerAbout the roleThis role will take the lead across John D Wood & Co. for the training of all sales staff, and well as management training for the management teams. The role includes delivery of induction training in partnership with the Lettings trainer, compliance training including AML, CRM training of RPS and other internal CRM, and overall sales skills training ensuring adherence to the current legislation and procedures are being followed. You will be working from our London and Kent based training rooms with travel throughout the network to support learning on site and follow up on classroom training. Where appropriate this can also be conducted remotely, but all training at John D Wood & Co. ideally takes place face to face.Key Responsibilities
  • Within John D Wood & Co., sales and lettings teams work together at all times, therefore this role will work alongside the lettings trainer in delivering comprehensive, industry leading training with a united approach to estate agency at all times.
  • You will work alongside the Lettings trainer and Senior Management across the John D Wood and Company brands to prioritise delivery of technical, developmental and bespoke training solutions, whilst taking into consideration any key legal and /or regulatory requirements. Training will include Essential Management training for our heads of department, sales skills training, property knowledge courses etc.
  • Responsible for delivering training to new starters, onboarding of all new employees and training within the business on the various IT systems. Training of RPS will be carried out in conjunction with our Reapit.
  • You will be working closely with existing Managers, and Heads of compliance to ensure that we abide by the legislation. You will continually update and improve training courses and deliver in line with business needs, depending on stakeholder feedback. Training may take place in group sessions or on a 121 basis.
  • Acting as a key communicator between the L&D, IT department and branch managers to ensure correct system updates are carried out and the business subsequently updated.
  • Keeping self-updated with any changes within the sales and letting procedures. Contributing to recreating relevant training materials, including workbooks and presentations. Liaising with internal departments to be able to provide the best service to our internal customers. Design and delivery of new training modules (as necessary) to address system updates. Be able to deliver training using different media, this may include but is not exclusive to classroom, conference calls, MS Teams and other applications.
Experience:We are looking for an estate agent who wants a career in training, or an established estate agency trainer. Being able to speak from personal experience of working in front line agency is critical to succeeding in this position.You should be energetic, engaging, well presented, articulate and confident presenting on your feet.Why join us?
