Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aircraft Planning Specialist to join a dynamic and fast-paced aviation maintenance organisation in Cardiff. This role is pivotal in coordinating and managing aircraft maintenance planning under Part 145 regulations, ensuring efficient project delivery and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-chair aircraft pre-input meetings with the Maintenance Manager
- Review incoming work scopes in collaboration with Sales
- Plan and coordinate accepted work packages
- Create and stage work orders for aircraft inputs
- Project manage aircraft inputs with material and production teams to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Liaise with CAMOs regarding work packages, work orders, and project progress
- Manage technical records and publications
- Represent the planning function in global planning and sales meetings
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in airline or MRO maintenance planning (3rd party MRO experience advantageous)
- Proven managerial experience with the ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
- In-depth knowledge of EASA and CAA Part-M and Part-145 legislation
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with MS Project is advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
