What the Hiring Manager SaysThis role is pivotal to Quilter Investors in terms of being responsible for the end-to-end transaction lifecycle as well at the investment data. I am looking for someone who has strong communication skills, who can manage key internal relationships and stakeholders as well as third party suppliers. We have an established outsourced model across middle office, collateral management, fund accounting and transfer agency, but I see this role having the autonomy to make improvements, take on new products and asset types build a strategy and work with our change team to drive better data solutions and governance whilst also developing a high performing team. Investment Operations Director About the RoleLevel: 5 Department: Investment Operations Location: London, United Kingdom (hybrid-working 2-3 days per week in the office) Contract type: Permanent, Full-Time As Lead Operations Manager you will be a key member of the Quilter Operations management team. Managing and leading two teams across trade support and data management, you will also assist the Operations Director in leading on the operational aspects of all business change initiatives and projects. As a close support to the Operations Director, you will at times deputise and support in third party and internal governance meetings as well as representing the department at board meetings. You will be a member of internal governance forums and committees as well as play a key role as SME for upcoming change. As a highly regulated function the role will require close management of all the regulated activity particularly around MIFIR/EMIR transaction reporting and best execution. You and your team of trade support and data analysts will ensure daily, periodic and ad-hoc trade lifecycle services are completed to deliver seamless service to Quilter Investors (QI) business teams, especially the portfolio managers and you will additionally be responsible for building out the QI operating model, and support with the implementation of any required business changes that impact the Investment Operations' systems or processes. As Lead Operations Manager you will ensure all external service providers are delivering to agreed service, support and quality standards, and complete regular due diligence reviews, performing operational impact assessments required for any new instruments, new brokers and product changes, whilst managing commercial roadmaps and contractual terms. You could be exactly what this role needs.Ideally you will have a strong understanding of trade lifecycle, including derivative instruments and collateral management, and proven operational experience in financial services with sound knowledge of a wide range of investment products including Equities, Investment Trusts, CIS, ETDs, Bonds, FX, CDS. Also, importantly you will have experience in dealing with third party providers, administrators, and platforms such as Clearing Brokers, Custodians, Auditors, and maintain strong oversight and support activity. You will either have experience in or be truly excited at the thought of managing/leading a team and have a passion for developing others. We need strong proven management experience and leadership skills. Building a strategy around our investment data that includes reviewing solutions, transforming current set up and implementing a governance framework. Your intermediate to advanced Excel capability will aid your ability to consume large volumes of data, and create clear, concise reporting for management information. You will also be delivery focused, with a high level of attention to detail, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will have knowledge of order management and data solutions such as Thinkfolio and S&P EDM. Our purpose is to help the generations today and tomorrow to prosper.
