Lead Logistics Coordinator - WALKER COLE INTERNATIONAL LTD : Job Details

Walker Cole International is supporting a leading pharmaceutical businessin their search for a Lead Logistics Coordinator to join their Supply Chain function at their site based in Cambridgeshire. This is a key position within the logistics and warehouse operations team, with responsibility for coordinating global trade compliance and supporting warehouse functions in a GMP-regulated environment.Key Responsibilities of the Lead Logistics Coordinator include:

• Leading import and export compliance processes, including documentation, government licenses, and customs adherence.
• Managing carrier relationships, SLAs, KPI reporting, and invoice approval.
• Providing day-to-day support across warehouse operations, including goods in/out, stock control, and dispensing.
• Acting as the subject matter expert for trade compliance topics, including Incoterms and export licensing requirements.
• Supporting internal audits, ensuring the warehouse is always audit ready, and participating in CAPA and change control processes.
• Driving adherence to GMP/GDP and HSE standards, contributing to continuous improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in international logistics, with a strong track record in import/export documentation and compliance.
• Working knowledge of Incoterms and trade regulations, ideally supported by formal training or a Chamber of Commerce certification.
• Prior experience working within a warehouse environment under GDP/GMP conditions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and previous exposure to SAP is advantageous.
• Forklift operation experience is desirable (Counterbalance, VNA, Ride-on).
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and coach others effectively.
