The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee and manage electrical operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with industry standards. Description

As the Lead Electrical Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Supervise and lead a team of electrical technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment within the manufacturing facility.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and resolve technical issues.
  • Analyse and troubleshoot electrical faults, providing swift resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical works, maintenance, and inspections.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skill levels.

Profile

A successful Lead Electrical Engineer should have:

  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems within industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • A Time served Electrical Apprenticeship
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Wiring regulations (16th, 17th or 18th)
  • Experience of PLC Fault Finding
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities.
