Lead Business Analyst - Butler Rose : Job Details

Butler Rose is working with a large FTSE250 organisation in their search for a Lead Business Analyst to join their Team. This is a minimum three months (but most likely three month rolling and at least six months) and will pay PAYE day rate depending on experience. This is a remote role with occasional travel to Northampton/London office. The role will play a crucial role in defining and documenting the strategic framework and processes related to finance systems and operations within our organisation. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, technology, and business functions to capture requirements, analyse existing processes, and develop comprehensive documentation that serves as a blueprint for future finance initiatives. Key Responsibilities: * Blueprint Development: Lead the creation of a detailed finance blueprint outlining processes, systems architecture, data flows, and integration points. * Requirements Gathering: Work with finance stakeholders to understand business needs, process gaps, and future requirements. * Process Mapping: Conduct detailed process mapping to document current workflows and identify areas for improvement. * Documentation Creation: Develop detailed documents including process flow diagrams, functional specifications, system requirements, and data mappings. * Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with finance leaders, IT architects, and business users to gather input, validate requirements, and ensure alignment with business objectives. * Change Management Support: Assist in change management by providing clear documentation of finance processes and system configurations to support training and adoption. * Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of finance blueprint documentation through rigorous review and validation. Skills and Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on finance systems and operations. * Strong understanding of finance processes (e.g., record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, financial planning and analysis). * Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio), requirements gathering, and documentation best practices. * Experience with finance systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial reporting tools, and data visualisation platforms. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear documentation. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. * Ability to lead cross-functional teams, facilitate workshops, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
