L3 Learning Support Assistant - Physical Resource Base - Reed : Job Details

• Pay rate: £12.82/hr
• Job Type: Full-time

We are seeking a dedicated LSA Level 3 to enhance the support for pupils with physical and medical needs within the Physical Resource Base, located within a Secondary School in the Penarth area.

Day to Day of the Role:

• Provide high-quality support to identified pupils with physical and medical needs to facilitate their access and inclusion throughout the school day.
• Assist with in-class support activities such as scribing, note-taking, prompting, practical assistance, and administering medications as necessary.
• Offer personal care, including toileting, hoisting, manual handling, dressing, and support during PE.
• Supervise social times, assist at lunchtimes, and accompany on school trips.
• Work under the guidance of a Specialist Teacher, HLTA, and members of the school leadership team within an agreed system of supervision.
• Liaise with teachers regularly to best support specific physical and learning needs.
• Utilize school recording systems and demonstrate excellent IT skills to proficiently support learning and administration in the Physical Resource Base.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in supporting children with physical and medical needs.
• Proficiency in IT and familiarity with school recording systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under guidance and within a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
