Central Manchester - Hybrid Working

£40,000 - £48,000 per annum

I am delighted to be partnering with this entrepreneurial start-up to appoint an L&D Manager to join their rapidly growing business. You will support and develop an existing team whilst remaining involved in the full L&D cycle. The role is ideally suited to someone with a strong generalist L&D exposure looking to make an impact and add value, bringing with you new ideas and approaches. Working closely with the Head of L&D, you will help to shape the learning agenda, driving engagement and creating pathways for learning.

Scope of the role will include:

  • Work with the wider team to identify training needs in the business and work with internal stakeholders to influence the appetite for prioritising ongoing learning and development of colleagues across the business
  • Support on developing the succession planning and talent development frameworks
  • Day-to-day management of the team, conducting regular one-to-ones and supporting on their individual projects/specialist areas including management/leadership development, systems training, career path development and e-learning
  • Ensure an effective onboarding journey is in place for new starters to ensure optimal engagement from the beginning of their employee journey
  • Use creative methods to promote the function so that colleagues are encouraged to access the tools and training available
  • Assist to create a culture that encourages continuous professional development for all employees

About you:

  • Experience of managing a L&D team is essential, in order to help guide and support the team to achieve ongoing success
  • Broad experience across the full cycle Learning & Development, you will know what good looks like and are keen to bring new ideas and ways to further develop the function
  • High energy, confident communicator and strong influencing skills
  • Resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business
  • A proactive self-starter, ready to get stuck into a challenge and make a positive impact

What's on offer?

  • Basic salary up to £48,000 depending on experience
