The Role - KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant:

As a KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting class teachers and pupils with a range of special educational needs:

• Working with pupils both 1:1 and in small groups
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning support
• Providing targeted SEN interventions to support student progress
• Implementing EHCPs and individualised support plans
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
• Supporting the school’s values of high expectations, respect, and resilience, through a warm and inclusive learning environment
• Promoting emotional regulation and social development for pupils with SEN

What We’re Looking For - KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant

• Experience working with children (preferably in KS2)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN such as Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language Needs, or SEMH
• Strong academic background
• A passion for inclusive education and supporting children to reach their full potential
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
• Reliable, resilient, and empathetic
