We're working with a warm and welcoming two-form entry primary school in the Shard End area who are looking to welcome two new KS1 Teaching Assistants from September. Whether you're more experienced with Year 1 or thrive in a lively Year 2 setting, the school offers flexibility to place you in the class that best suits your skills and preference.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils in KS1 with learning activities across the curriculum
  • Working closely with the class teacher to adapt tasks and provide tailored support
  • Leading small group work to reinforce key literacy and numeracy skills
  • Promoting positive behaviour and a nurturing classroom atmosphere
  • Assisting with reading, phonics and early writing development

What we're looking for:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent
  • Previous experience supporting children in a primary setting (ideally KS1)
  • Confident, caring and proactive attitude
  • A good understanding of early learning and development
  • Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and building strong relationships with pupils and staff
