Knitter - Tagged Resources : Job Details

The Company:

An established clothing knitwear and jersey manufacturer who supplies to the High Street retailers are currently looking for a Knitter to join their busy team.

You'll be working with Shima and Stoll knitting machines which produce seamless comfortable garments. This is a fantastic opportunity for applicants to enter the highly competitive fashion industry, working with the very latest advanced knitting machinery

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 6-2 , 2-10 and 10-6 on a rotating weekly shift pattern weekly

The Role:

• Working on Shima and Stoll machines to produce high quality 12gg knitwear samples
• Change styles on machines so that different patterns may be run.
• Assist with installation of equipment at a knitting start-up operation
• Keep machines clean and make sure that there are no fabric defect in the cloth
• Ensure the knitting room is kept clean
• Thorough communication with other departments report any event of machine breakdowns and issues
• Working closely and supervising a small team of knitters

Skills Required:

• 3- 4 years’ experience within similar role.
• MUST have knitwear experience
• Experience working in the textiles industry
• A positive attitude to problem solving and a technical mind-set
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a challenging and fast moving environment
• Problem solving mind-set and keen eye for detail
