• Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30-14:30

We are seeking a dedicated School Catering Assistant to join our team, providing excellent food service in schools located in Methwold and Hockwold. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for food handling and catering, looking to contribute positively to the school environment.

• Prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals to students and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas according to health and safety standards.
• Assist in the setup and clearing of the dining area before and after meal times.
• Manage food supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is properly stored and maintained.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that are both appealing and nutritious.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and school policies at all times.

• Previous experience in food handling and catering is essential.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene certification is preferred but not essential; training can be provided.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
