Here on the northern edge of Barnet, Hadley Lawns warmly welcomes those in need of nursing, residential and palliative care. That could be for a few short weeks of respite for a break, whilst recovering from an operation, or a long-term move. Whatever the reason, their doors are open, advanced bookings available.There are lots of places to relax and residents can experience a little pampering in the hair and beautysalon, choose a book from the library, or enjoy a quiet cup of coffee in the conservatory.Outside, the well-tended gardens are easily accessible for wheelchairs. There"s plenty of space on the terrace to sit and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and there are raised flower beds for anyone who"d like to do a spot of gardening.
You’ll help us make health happen by:
Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines
Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. You’ll understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams - you’re comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.
