Description
This is a senior, field-based role covering Scotland and the North of the UK, with responsibility for managing the largest diagnostics contract in Europe as part of the account portfolio.
- Act as the primary commercial contact for key accounts across diagnostics, including lab equipment, molecular, POC, and nutrition.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders across NHS and private healthcare settings.
- Manage contract renewals, expansions, and long-term partnerships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide first-line service support and technical troubleshooting, coordinating with internal teams and third-party suppliers.
- Lead post-sales implementation projects, overseeing cross-functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
- Deliver customer training, business reviews, and value-added services to enhance product uptake and account performance.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic planning and account development.
Profile
Based in Glasgow, with a strong background in diagnostics or healthcare Key Account Management.
Experience managing complex contracts and relationships in a technical or clinical environment is essential.
- Proven experience in key account management, ideally within diagnostics or laboratory services.
- Strong understanding of blood sample processing, lab workflows, and integrated diagnostic systems.
- Excellent relationship-building and solution-selling skills.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Highly organised, proactive, and commercially astute.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Scotland and the North UK (up to 75%).
