Job Description :

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Management Accountant to join a highly respected media organisation based in London. This permanent, full-time position offers you the chance to become an integral part of a knowledgeable and supportive finance team

Duties Include:

  • Process revenue from multiple sources with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in line with company policies.
  • Review employee expense submissions thoroughly
  • Manage monthly stock movement entries by liaising with relevant departments and maintaining up-to-date records for financial reporting purposes.
  • Post monthly accruals as part of the month-end process, collaborating with senior finance colleagues to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed month-end reports for management review, highlighting key variances and supporting business decision-making.
  • Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies & resolving outstanding items.
  • Assist with payment run processing, ensuring timely payments in accordance with agreed terms.
  • Oversee employee access to ERP and expense portals
  • Support the resolution of historical unreconciled balance sheet items
  • Provide assistance to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required, contributing to smooth departmental operations.

The ideal candidate:

  • Part-qualified / studying towards a recognised accounting qualification ACA, CIMA or ACCA essential
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, enabling efficient data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience using Navision accounting software is desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent organisational skills & attention to detail for ensured accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal abilities allow you to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
  • Effective communication skills enable you to articulate information clearly when collaborating with team members or presenting findings.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being comfortable operating independently under supervision when required.
  • Adaptability and intuition empower you to respond positively to changing priorities or unexpected challenges within the finance function.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement drives you to identify opportunities for process enhancement and seek guidance when necessary.
