Junior Contracts Assistant - Bennett & Game Recruitment : Job Details

Our client, a well-established specialist contractor operating within the commercial hygiene and washroom fit-out sector, is seeking a Junior Contracts Assistant to join their expanding team in Chichester. This is predominately an office-based position with site visits as required.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in contracts administration and project support within the construction or interiors sector.

You will be working closely with the Contracts Manager to help manage the delivery of projects, coordinate labour and materials, and ensure the smooth running of operations across the business.

Junior Contracts Assistant - Benefits

• Salary: £23,500 - £25,000 (DOE)
• 20 days holiday + bank holidays
• 4% employer pension contribution
• Performance bonus (structure to be discussed)
• Annualised hours contract (equivalent to 37 hours per week) - Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Junior Contracts Assistant - Role Overview

• Support the Contracts Manager in overseeing live projects
• Help coordinate labour, deliveries, and materials to ensure timely completion
• Attend and contribute to project meetings and site visits
• Maintain accurate contract data and records in the company system
• Assist with project documentation including RAMS, O&M manuals, and H&S compliance
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment
• Support the management of snagging lists, extra works, and variations
• Monitor and maintain subcontractor compliance (insurance, accreditations, etc.)

Junior Contracts Assistant - Requirements

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• T Level in Design, Planning and Surveying or similar construction industry qualification or experience.
• Interest in construction, interiors, or project management
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning internal systems
• Willingness to learn and develop within a contracts-focused role
• Driving licence beneficial but not essential
