Java Solution Architect - Reed : Job Details

• Contract Type: Contractor
• Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire - fully on site
• Rate: £600 per day inside IR35
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
• Contract duration: 6 months+
• Mandatory: DV Clearance active (will not consider non-cleared professionals)

• Design, create, test, and document new and amended programs from supplied specifications, adhering to agreed standards.
• Provide application maintenance and support services, either directly to users of the applications or to service delivery functions.
• Design or undertake impact analysis of medium-sized solutions or partial solutions within a large established architecture.
• Schedule and monitor your own work, with minimal need for escalation.
• Contribute to solution reviews and continuous improvement efforts within the team.

• Minimum of 3 years of Java development experience within an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of source control and CI/CD principles.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Experience in sustainable technology projects or initiatives.
• Prior experience in a similar architectural role.
