Role Overview

This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated IT professional with strong Microsoft SQL skills and a broad IT knowledge base.

You’ll be far more than just a helpdesk technician—you’ll be the company’s primary go-to IT expert, managing everything from routine support tasks to leading system design and integration projects that drive efficiency and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all internal IT needs.
  • Manage ITSM tickets and resolve a wide range of issues.
  • Support and maintain Microsoft SQL databases (reporting, management, backups).
  • Administer Active Directory and user accounts.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of new systems and technologies.
  • Provide technical support for Windows desktops, laptops, and Windows Server.
  • Troubleshoot networking issues (routers, switches, VPNs, Wi-Fi).
  • Liaise with external vendors, IT service providers, and software suppliers.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, uptime, and security.
  • Oversee IT asset management, licensing, and access permissions.
  • Document IT processes, generate reports, and support IT improvement projects.
Skills and Experience
  • Solid experience as an IT Technician or Systems Engineer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL (backups, reporting).
  • Strong working knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Experience providing 1st to 3rd line support in SME environments.
  • Comfortable working with Windows Server and end-user devices.
  • Solid networking knowledge (switches, routers, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
