IT Project Manager (Infrastructure)
Location: Hillington – Hybrid (2 days WFH, 3 in office)Salary: Up to £60K DOE
Be-IT are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading Fintech client seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (Infrastructure) to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead high-impact infrastructure projects in a hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Translate business requirements into detailed, actionable project plans.
- Infrastructure Delivery: Manage end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, including data centre and network hardware deployments.
- Customer Engagement: Lead customer-facing meetings across global time zones, providing clear updates and managing expectations.
- Resource Management: Align project demand with global resource availability using industry-standard tools.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify, document, and communicate risks related to budget, scope, hardware delays, and resource constraints.
- Commercial Oversight: Track project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure alignment with commercial goals.
- Milestone Tracking: Monitor progress against key milestones and adjust plans to ensure timely delivery.
- Continuous Improvement: Capture lessons learned and contribute to process enhancements across the PMO.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Infrastructure Expertise: Proven experience delivering IT infrastructure projects, with a basic understanding of data centres and network hardware.
- Project Delivery: Strong background in project planning, resource scheduling, and requirements validation.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Confident in leading discussions with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Global Resource Coordination: Experience managing distributed teams and resources across multiple time zones.
- Financial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and track financial performance.
- Tool Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Project and other project/resource management tools.
- Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and PRINCE2 frameworks.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
Desirable (Bonus) Skills
- Experience in Fintech or Cloud infrastructure projects
- Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2
