Role Introduction:

Applegreen is in a rapid growth phase and is seeking to onboard an IT Project Manager with the skills, experience and dynamism to help deliver projects in a fast-paced retail environment within our transformation digital programme.

The role will form part of the IT team and is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to excel. The successful candidate will be a confident people person who can fit into Applegreen seamlessly and adopt a hands-on approach to their role.

This is a perm role reporting into Head of Digital Technology and AI

Key Responsibilities:

As Applegreen evolves, the responsibilities of this role will too. The core responsibilities will centre around the following areas:

  • Partner with the business to help deliver the digital initiatives across the various regions and business areas in which Applegreen operate.
  • Oversee and coordinate outsourced technical software providers to ensure the successful delivery, integration, and maintenance of key digital platforms, aligning with organisational goals and performance standards.
  • Successfully coordinate and deliver the digital programme and the initiatives contained within it, within budget and quality
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed project plan to set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress
  • Prepare and issue status reporting to IT and Commercial Leadership & Key Stakeholders
  • Stakeholder and interdependency management, working across multiple external suppliers for specialist skills
  • Quality control/procedures and processes
  • Risk & Change Management
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Working with 3rd parties to manage delivery, scope and timelines.
  • Working with other internal functions such as Service Desk, BA’s, SA’s

The Candidate should have the following:

Qualifications, experience & skills

  • 3-4 Years Project Management in similar industry, FMCG, Retail / Hospitality
  • Customer facing technologies would be advantageous (CRM, CDP, CMS)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple/concurrent high-profile IT projects
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Supplier Management skills
  • Business Analysis skills
  • Creation of and maintaining comprehensive project documentation (MS Project)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Negotiation skills
