Xenial Consulting is proud to be partnering once again with a valued, long-term client to recruit an experienced IT Manager for their East London office. This is a fully office-based position with occasional travel to other locations across the UK.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring smooth delivery of technical support to internal users and maintaining core systems. You’ll also manage relationships with external IT providers and play a key role in enhancing the organisation’s IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for IT-related queries and support issues.

  • Setting up and managing user accounts, devices (laptops, mobiles, printers), and software installations.

  • Troubleshooting desktop and mobile hardware/software issues to minimise downtime.

  • Monitoring system performance and escalating complex issues to third-party providers where appropriate.

  • Administering access and user permissions across platforms such as Office 365, SharePoint, and Syrinx.

  • Assisting with regular data backups and supporting recovery processes when necessary.

  • Working closely with IT vendors for support, licensing, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Managing connectivity issues including email, internet, and networking problems.

  • Keeping IT documentation and asset inventories up to date.

  • Providing support for staff onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.

  • Contributing to IT-related projects as assigned by senior management.

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in managing IT functions, ideally within a multi-site organisation.

  • Good knowledge of cloud-based systems and exposure to business tools such as Power BI, Syrinx, or Dimensions.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are highly desirable.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The Offer
  • Base salary: £40,000

  • On-target earnings (OTE): £8,500

  • Immediate or short notice availability (one month or less) is preferred.

Salary : 45000 - 48500
