The opportunity

We are delighted to be recruiting a brand new of role of IT Audit Manager to join QBE’s Group Internal Audit (GIA) function. As a key member of this effective and well-regarded function, you will manage internal IT audits providing value to the company. This is a professional and innovative team in London and the opening is due to internal advancement.

Your new role

  • Manage a variety of internal IT audits and engagements across the European Operations and North America division.

  • Ensure high quality and timely deliverables in accordance with applicable professional standards.

  • Review workpapers and deliverables, providing constructive and timely feedback to team members.

  • Report and communicate audit results, working with management to address risk and control deficiencies, recommend remediation or control improvements, and monitor management actions.

  • Provide guidance on career development, as well as balanced and constructive performance reviews.

  • Contribute to the development of the division’s risk-based internal audit plan.

  • Support the implementation of best practices and new initiatives such as data analysis and agile approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the team, coaching team members where necessary.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with management and stakeholders within and outside the audit team. Leverage the relationships to understand their needs and expectations and to continuously monitor the control environment.

  • Provide meaningful contributions to various GIA initiatives that support delivery of the GIA strategy.

About you:

  • Significant experience in managing audits in the Technology space.

  • A dynamic and proactive team player, with the ability to work independently, take initiative and actively solve problems.

  • A critical thinker, with the ability to analyse and evaluate information, including the use of data analysis techniques.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills capable of building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Fundamental knowledge of risk and internal control concepts and experience in applying them to plan, perform, and report on the evaluation of processes, risks and controls.

  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and development.
