Investment Associate opportunity within a mid-market private equity investor offering involvement in sourcing and executing new platform investments, managing portfolio businesses and driving future growth strategy.

The Company

A mid-market Private Equity Investor focused on backing established businesses with a strong market position and significant long-term growth potential. As an independent sponsor the firm invests £50m - £100m into businesses with the aim of creating major growth and expansion in the UK and Europe.

The Opportunity

Joining the Investment Team as an Investment Associate you will be fully involved in the execution of investments into established SME and high-growth entrepreneurial businesses. Your role will involve supporting Partners in sourcing, evaluating and executing investment transactions, managing portfolio businesses and assisting in developing growth strategies including buy & build.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting Investment Committee processes
• Supporting Partners in executing the firm’s investment strategy, playing a key role in Value Creation within portfolio companies
• Working closely with Management Teams to execute acquisitions and growth strategy
• Handling follow-on / bolt-on acquisitions, overseeing key aspects of transaction processes
• Building effective working relationships with advisors, introducers and management teams

The Person

You will be a Corporate Finance or Investment professional able to demonstrate the following:

• M&A experience gained within a mid-market Investment Bank (c.3 - 4 years)
• Possibly some experience within Private Equity Investment
• Professionally qualified (ACA or CFA)
• A strong desire to work within mid-market Private Equity and to be instrumental in the growth and success of entrepreneurial businesses operating within exciting, high-growth sectors
