Altum Consulting are proud to be partnering with a global charitable organisation to find an experienced and detail-driven Investment Accounting Manager. This is a key role in ensuring accurate and timely investment financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of asset classes. You'll play a critical part in maintaining financial control, delivering high-quality analysis, and supporting wider investment operations.

Reporting to the Investment Accounting Controller, you'll take ownership of accounting processes for specific asset classes, oversee valuations, and act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across Finance and Investments.

What You'll Do
  • Lead investment accounting processes for assigned asset classes, including adjustments, reconciliations, and management of third-party data providers.

  • Prepare and review financial statements for investment subsidiaries and group entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS.

  • Oversee valuation processes, implement review controls, and prepare reports for the Valuation Group.

  • Manage relationships with external and internal auditors, ensuring smooth audit delivery.

  • Support integration of new investments into finance operations.

  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting team members, providing guidance and reviewing their work.

  • Maintain a strong risk and control environment, ensuring compliance with policies and financial regulations.

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing finance culture.

About You
  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).

  • Minimum of 3+ years PQE.
  • Strong technical knowledge of investment accounting under UK GAAP or IFRS.

  • Proven experience with one or more asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, alternatives, real estate, private equity).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining accuracy and delivery focus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across finance and investment teams.

This is a hybrid role which requires office attendance 3 days a week in central London.
