Are you passionate about supporting primary-aged pupils to achieve their full potential through tailored intervention strategies?

We are working with a warm and welcoming village primary school in the DE11 area to appoint an experienced Intervention Teaching Assistant. This full-time position will involve delivering small group and 1:1 academic interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, focusing on raising attainment in reading, writing, and maths.

You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to plan and deliver structured catch-up programmes, monitor pupil progress and help build confidence in learners who need a little extra support. This role is ideal for someone with a nurturing, patient approach and strong subject knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:* Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy across KS1 and KS2* Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils with gaps in learning* Liaise with class teachers to adapt resources and share progress updates* Track and monitor pupil outcomes to inform next steps* Encourage pupil confidence, independence and resilience* Support behaviour and emotional regulation strategies where needed* Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment

What We're Looking For:* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)* Experience delivering primary interventions (Phonics, Catch-Up Maths etc.)* Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach* A positive, calm and flexible attitude* Understanding of how to support pupils with additional needs
