International Tax Manager - Robert Walters : Job Details

International Tax Manager (full-time or part-time) - Manufacturing Business - Borehamwood (with 3 day per week remote working) - Circa £70,000-£80,000 plus 15% bonus and benefits package

Robert Walters are hiring for an International Tax Manager for a international manufacturing business with an office based in Borehamwood in Hertfordshire (supporting 3 days per week remote working)

This is a permanent position that can be considered on either a full-time or a part-time time basis.

It comes with a salary of circa £70,000-£80,000 plus 15% bonus and benefits package.

Supporting the Financial Controller, the Tax Manager will be responsible for the tax affairs of the company in the European region, covering both direct tax and indirect tax.

This person will manage 1 direct report, and will take on a broad role encompassing management of tax compliance, tax advisory, business partnering and tax project work.

Responsibilities include:

Corporate tax* work with tax advisors to prepare annual tax returns for the UK and branches in Europe* responsible for deferred tax computation* responsible for country by country reporting* manage all other aspects of Corporate tax compliance

VAT* ensure VAT compliance in all locations* lead tax audits* supervise VAT returns submission for the UK and branches* advise Company on VAT treatment queries, particularly on cross-border transactions

Transfer Pricing (TP)* monitor TP ratios and work with the Company to achieve TP targets* prepare TP documentation for all countries* liaise with tax advisors as necessary

Tax authorities liaison* main point of contact for the tax authorities in the UK and in Europe for Corporate tax and VAT

Line management* line manage and motivate 1 direct report

Other* Project-based tax work and ongoing advisory work on tax queries

The company are looking for someone with good international tax experience gained either in practice or in industry.

Whilst experience/strength in both direct tax and indirect tax would be beneficial, the company are happy to consider candidates strong in only one area as long as they are willing to take on the other and learn as part of the role
