International Freight Forwarding Operator

Location - Dover, Kent

Salary - £31,548.54 per annum depending on experience

Do you have at least 3 years of experience in the haulage/freight forwarding industry?

Have a good understanding of all aspects of fleet and driver management, scheduling/planning, WTD and tachographs?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an International Freight Forwarding Operator to join our client, who provides a comprehensive range of expertise and is a European leader in temperature-controlled transport and logistics helping customers to build an increasingly agile and connected supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders from customers are inputted into the company CRM system
• Verify Borderos (advice of goods arriving into Dover) from depots and transmit them onto the system for delivery
• Coordinate direct deliveries and part/full loads
• Adjust pallet quantities on jobs as needed and inform customers accordingly of any variances
• Dispatch Collection Orders to the relevant depots
• Liaise with Depots regarding vehicles arriving to load; provide details on quantities of goods and required vehicles
• Monitor emails from customers inquiring about their collections/deliveries throughout the day
• Coordinate Customs paperwork when necessary and forward it to the Customers Agent
• Generate loading lists/off loads when needed
• Promote and adhere to the company code of conduct at all times.
• Schedule trains/ferries when required
• Create and finalise files for submission to the Administration Department promptly

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required for this role
• Candidate will need to be IT literate in Microsoft Office packages and can compile, analyse and interpret relevant data
• Must hold extensive knowledge and application of health and safety procedures
• Ability to hit moving deadlines
• Must hold good skills in arithmetic
• Able to communicate in another European language would be desirable, but not essential
• Able to compile and collate data
