Our client is a well-known industrial business with sites based across the country, who are looking to add to the already well-established internal audit function due to both business growth and a wider scope within the function.

Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading internal audits ensuring high-quality, timely delivery. Identifying risks, assessing controls, and proposing solutions to address gaps.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions implemented in response to audit findings.
- Establishing strong working relationships with stakeholders to understand business processes, and clearly communicating audit observations and recommendations.
- Advising on enhancing risk management strategies, improving controls, and optimising processes, leveraging industry best practices.
- Contributing to audit planning by conducting preliminary assessments, analysing workflows, and identifying key areas for examination.
- Preparing clear, actionable audit reports that align with senior management expectations and provide actionable insights.
Profile
Experience
- Previous audit experience, ideally within internal audit or 2LOD
- Relevant professional certifications (CIA, CISA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Ideally has experience working with industrial businesses as an employee, or as a part of your audit portfolio
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in evaluating the impact of control weaknesses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, able to present complex issues to senior leaders and drive meaningful change.
- Ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their operations.
- A proactive, inquisitive approach to continuous learning and professional development.
Job Offer
