Internal Audit Manager - IQ Talent Solutions : Job Details

Our client is an international supplier of enrichment services and fuel cycle products for the civil nuclear industry who are seeking to hire an Internal Audit Manager for their office in Slough, where there is a hybrid working policy in place. The role will pay a competitive salary and annual bonus.

You will work closely with the Senior Internal Audit Manager on the delivery of risk-based internal audit and assurance activities across the business.

What is expected of the Internal Audit Manager? 

• Assist with the development and execution of a comprehensive annual internal audit and assurance programme across the group with some involvement in the annual and half year internal audit planning process.
• Plan, execute fieldwork, and deliver insightful audit reports for end-to-end audits, assurance or special assignments.
• Deliver high quality internal audit work, workpapers, clear concise audit reports, communicating results effectively by engaging the business on the observations and recommendations, ensuring pragmatic and risk appropriate actions are agreed.
• Build good, balanced working relationships with the business to senior levels for seamless audit delivery .
• Work with, and project manage external co-source resources, including end to end work product and outputs to time and budget.
• Engaging business units in audit activity on site requiring up to 10% overseas and 15% UK travel.

What we look for in an Internal Audit Manager?

• Chartered accountant with a relevant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, PIIA, CIA, CMIIA or equivalent
• Dual Accounting and Internal Audit qualification preferred (or Accountant working toward, or part qualified in Internal Audit)
• Keen interest in Risk Management and Internal Control
• Stakeholder management.
• Excellent organisation and planning skills to ensure audits run smoothly.
• Ability to work to deadlines as needed or manage expectations of delivery and reporting outputs across a portfolio of audits at different stages of the audit process.
