Alexander Daniels are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business in Burton-on-Trent to recruit an experienced Interim Transactional Finance Manager on a 6 month fixed term contact.
The ideal candidate will need to be a strong, pragmatic leader who can quickly assess the situation, allocate resource effectively, and drive the delivery of solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the Accounts Payable team, balancing workloads and ensuring fair allocation of tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within IFS, particularly around invoices and hold tables.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify system/process gaps and implement practical solutions.
- Provide hands-on support where required, rolling up your sleeves to help clear backlogs.
- Monitor progress against agreed milestones and report regularly to senior management.
- Act as the main point of contact for implementation-related queries, ensuring effective communication across the business.
- Coach and support team members, helping to upskill where needed.
About You
- Previous experience as a Transactional Finance Manager or a similar role, ideally in Accounts Payable.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems - IFS experience would be highly beneficial.
- Demonstrable ability to manage people with varying workloads and performance levels.
- Process-driven mindset, with the ability to spot inefficiencies and quickly develop solutions.
- Hands-on and pragmatic, willing to get involved in day-to-day operations when needed.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
