Our Client A medium-sized not for proft organisation based in London, supporting individuals in need through targeted financial, social, and educational programmes.The RoleAs the finance systems expert, you will guide and support the organisation’s finance systems implementation, supporting the full lifecycle from tendering through to implementation, go live and beyond. You will be a key figure in shaping the financial systems landscape, improving integration, reporting, and automation across the charity’s operations. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, hands-on systems configuration, and collaborative cross-team engagement.Main Duties:
- Guide and advise the full tender process for the charity’s new finance system, including scoping, evaluation, and supplier selection.
- Oversee end-to-end implementation of the finance system, from design to go-live, including data migration, system integration, and training.
- Support users across the organisation and providing technical and functional guidance.
- Ensure data integrity and develop robust financial reports and dashboards for internal and external use.
- Collaborate with finance and IT teams to optimise the system environment, coding structures, and reporting hierarchies.
- Deliver ongoing improvements to system processes and documentation, ensuring best practice and compliance.
The Successful Candidate
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience in finance systems roles.
- Proven track record in delivering finance systems tenders and end-to-end implementations.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, management accounting, and statutory reporting (preferably in a not for profit context).
- Experience in implementing finance systems such as Iplicit, Intact, PS Financials, Access Dimensions or similar.
- Confident trainer and communicator, with the ability to support users at all levels.
