Interim Stock Accountant - Citadel Source Limited : Job Details

Citadel Source is working a Bristol based client in the stock/inventory space, who are a division of a larger PLC, to find a Stock Accountant to join them on short notice.

The Role

The Interim Stock Accountant will be responsible for managing the month end process, delivering KPI reporting and proactively getting in front of operational stakeholders within the warehouse to ensuring things are running efficiently.

About you

This opportunity is suited to an incredibly hands on accountant that prides themselves on rolling their sleeves up and finding solutions to problems. You'll need to be Excel savvy and have experience in a similar role dealing with stock

As an Interim Stock Accountant your role will include but not be limited to:

• Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock levels, tracking inventory movements (receipts, issues, adjustments, transfers), and ensuring proper storage;
• Calculating and posting monthly stock provisions (e.g., for slow-moving or obsolete inventory), analysing variances, and ensuring accurate cost allocation;
• Supporting the month-end close processes with accurate inventory valuations and related journal entries;
• Working with other departments (purchasing, manufacturing, sales, logistics) to ensure accurate inventory forecasting and planning, as well as resolving any inventory-related queries;
• Identifying opportunities to improve inventory management processes and controls.
