Altum Consulting are recruiting for a Qualified Statutory Manager to join a dynamic international retail group for 6 months. This role will play a pivotal part in managing statutory reporting, payroll accounting, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to both US GAAP and local GAAP requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in audit, paired with solid industry experience in retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the preparation of statutory financial statements in accordance with local GAAP, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee reconciliations and adjustments between US GAAP and local GAAP reporting.
- Act as the main liaison for external auditors, providing documentation and explanations as required.
- Manage payroll accounting processes, ensuring accurate postings, reconciliations, and compliance with tax and labour regulations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small but capable accounting team fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with finance, tax, and operational teams across the group to support business objectives.
You'll be/have:
- Qualified Accountant - Strong audit background, ideally with a Big 4 or leading audit firm, combined with relevant industry experience in retail/ecommerce.
- Proven industry experience in US GAAP and local GAAP statutory reporting.
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
