This position is for an Interim Senior Management Accountant role (12 month contract) within an animal welfare charity based in London. The successful candidate will have a pivotal role in the Accounting & Finance department, offering key financial insight to support the charity's mission.

Description

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Providing financial guidance to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Working closely with department heads to optimise cost efficiency.
• Overseeing financial audits and coordinating with external auditors.
• Managing a small team within the Accounting & Finance department.
• Participating in the ongoing development and refinement of financial policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Senior Management Accountant should have:

• An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the charity sector.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Proficient use of accounting software and IT systems.
• Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial colleagues.

Job Offer
