Interim Procurement Officer - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new roleAs Interim Procurement Officer, you'll lead on sourcing, tendering, and contract management across key categories, supporting the Procurement Manager. You'll ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 (PA23), advise stakeholders on procurement strategy, and stay ahead of evolving legislation and policy. You will provide strategic guidance and procurement advice to internal stakeholders about the most appropriate routes to market which deliver optimal value for money. This is a hybrid role with just two days a week in the Manchester office.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in public-sector procurement in a similar role
• Up-to-date working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ideally CIPS Level 4 or above
• Able to interview / start immediately (i.e. no notice period)
• Full right to work in the UK to cover the duration of the contract

What you'll get in return

• £300-£325/day (via umbrella), inside IR35
• Hybrid working: 2 days on-site, rest remote
• 3-month initial contract with potential for extension
