Interim Procurement Manager - Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Your new companyAn SME sized manufacturing organisation based in Shropshire. They are specialists in their field and offer creative and forward-thinking solutions to their clients. They are currently recruiting for an interim Procurement Manager for a period of approximately 6 months (potentially longer). Your new roleThe Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the procurement strategy, and will manage, support and develop a small buying team. The role will be responsible for sourcing and negotiation, leading tenders and managing suppliers. The Procurement Manager will work closely with the business to support NPD and ensure stock levels are optimised. The post holder will be accountable for the management of procurement spend budgets, and will produce and present management information to the senior team. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful, you will be a Procurement Manager with strong experience from the manufacturing and distribution sectors. You will be able to demonstrate expertise in negotiation, tender management and supplier management. It is vital that you are a strong people manager and have proven success in transforming procurement functions. You will be able to build relationships with people at all levels and be happy to roll up your sleeves.

What you'll get in returnYou will receive a day rate of £250 to £350 per day (Inside scope of IR-35). The organisation works on a hybrid basis with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
