Interim HR Systems & Process Lead (6-Month FTC)

About the Role

Reed HR are delighted to be supporting a long standing client in their search for an experienced Interim HR Systems & Process Lead to join them on a 6-month transformation project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising HR systems, streamlining processes, and unlocking the strategic value of people data.

This role will lead the simplification and integration of systems, data migration and cleansing, and the development of digital dashboards to support executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

System & Process Audit

  • Conduct a full review of current HR systems, data flows, and manual processes
  • Identify inefficiencies, duplication, and gaps—particularly between BambooHR and payroll
  • Assess the cost-effectiveness and future role of current systems

Process & System Optimisation

  • Configure BambooHR as the single source of truth for people data
  • Streamline core HR workflows (onboarding, reviews, approvals, data changes)
  • Retire or consolidate legacy tools where appropriate
  • Improve data flow into payroll systems to reduce manual input and risk

Data, Dashboards & Strategic Insights

  • Design and implement real-time dashboards for executive use
  • Define and track key people metrics aligned to business priorities
  • Ensure HR data is accurate, accessible, and decision-ready
  • Explore ethical applications of AI to enhance analytics and automation

Collaboration & Change

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, IT, and senior stakeholders to deliver solutions
  • Build capability within the HR team around systems and data
  • Document processes and ensure knowledge transfer for sustainability post-contract
Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with HR systems (admin/configuration level)
  • Proven track record of improving HR data flows and automating manual processes
  • Experience auditing, configuring, and decommissioning HR tools
  • Skilled in building dashboards using tools such as BambooHR, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio
  • Experience with secure and accurate HR data migration
  • Understanding of how HR data supports payroll, finance, and strategic planning
  • Strong communication and project delivery skills
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data compliance frameworks

Desirable

  • Experience applying AI or machine learning in an HR context (e.g. predictive analytics, sentiment analysis)
